Seattle Medical post-acute patients benefit from services that address the medical and emotional needs of those who are well enough to be out of a traditional hospital setting, but not well enough to return home right away.

Post-acute care involves helping a patient perform daily routine tasks such as eating, bathing and dressing as well as administering medications and monitoring vital signs. Care often involves rehabilitation such as physical or occupational therapy. Learn more about Medicare benefits (2012 Medicare and You Handbook).
